Classmate’s post (Juden Maravilla)

From the article on Trump’s Bogus Voter Fraud Claims by factcheck.org, Trump stated that there was voter fraud among the U.S. and that the election was “rigged.” Trump mentioned “people that have died 10 years ago are still voting,” a report that would show 1.8 million deceased people placed on voter registration polls. Numerous studies found that voter fraud is virtually non-existent. Trump also said there was a massive problem with “illegal immigrants (who) are voting,” his research was cited by an Old Dominion professor who said that noncitizen voters may have benefitted Democrats in 2008. A Harvard professor who maintained the data used by the Old Dominion study mentioned that the data was incorrect and the result of the study’s conclusion was false. Trump would lastly claim that “voter fraud is very, very common” and would request for the poll watchers to keep a lookout for people impersonating voters and voting numerous times. Numerous academic studies and government inquiries found that in-person voter fraud is minimum.
