Q:“The Occupy Movement” as political participation!

What the “Occupy Movement”? Discuss any significance. What is your informed analysis? What was this all about? How well did media organizations cover it (you might search relevant items at www.RT.com (Links to an external site.)? Do we in the United States face some serious issues? Elaborate. Seek depth as you work with each other. Cite everything used, and post and discuss any great links. Be SURE to interact with other students! Just take some part of this.

Reflecting on my discussion post from “U5Q” was started on September 17, 2011. It was a movement to protest against corporate greed, social inequality, and a large gap between the rich and poor. Part of the reason for the movement was because of the stalled economy in the United States. They would thousands participating in the protest but unfortunately, the protest would become violent as police arrested more than 100 protestors throughout different states involved with the movement. 100 arrests were also made as police raided an encampment hosted by the Occupy Oakland in Frank Ogawa Park on October 25. The United States does face the same issues to this day considering corporates. From my personal knowledge, corporations are focused mainly on their products and motives while ignoring those in need. Corporations should be more involved in helping those in need with healthcare, jobs, and tax cuts. Corporations are charged fewer tax cuts than those families who struggle to even make food for the household that week.
